Washing tips for your fibre duvets and pillows

Washable
Our entire range of fibres is washable. We recommend washing oversized quilts and duvets in a wash saloon as these washing machines have a larger capacity.

Up to 60°
Our ranges are washable in a washing machine from 4.5 kg up to 60°C. It is not necessary to remove the filling from pillows. You can wash your entire pillow in the washing machine.

Easy to clean
Only use the easy-care program of your washing machine for our products and only spin up to 1000 revolutions. Please only use liquid mild detergent without optical brighteners.

No fabric softener
Please do not use fabric softener. This attacks the filling and causes your bedding to break down and lose its bulk. Laundry perfumes, on the other hand, can be used at any time.
How to dry your fibre duvets and pillows
Shake into shape
After spinning, you only need to shake your duvet or pillow briefly into shape and hang it up to dry or place it on a drying rack.
Avoid residual moisture
Take your fibre duvet (or fibre pillow) out of the dryer, shake it up and let it cool down. If there is any residual moisture, simply repeat the process at the same temperature.
Do not dry too hot
You can of course tumble dry our products, but only at a reduced temperature (easy-care tumble dry). Be careful when choosing the temperature: too high temperatures can cause the fibres to fuse together.
Do not overfill the drum
Please do not overfill the dryer, as this can lead to heat build-up, which may cause the fibre filling to fuse together.

The lifespan of your bedding
Factors such as washing, sweating, use, etc. impair the functionality of the bedding over time. This is a normal process. For products of good quality and with normal requirements, the average lifespan is around 2 to 3 years for pillows and underbedding and 7 to 8 years for duvets, regardless of the material.
Washing tips for your feather and down duvets and pillows

Washable
Our Moments and Harmony feather collections can be washed in a regular washing machine from 4.5 kg and are suitable for tumble drying.

Up to 40°C
To protect your feather and down duvets (Moments, Harmony), please use the wool program up to 40 °C. Be sure to rinse and spin-dry the bedding thoroughly. Make sure that the drum is loosely filled. You can also wash particularly bulky cassette duvets and oversizes in the larger washing machines in wash saloons.

Detergent
We recommend using an alkali-free detergent. A special down detergent is particularly gentle. This is available from well-stocked retailers or drugstores.

No fabric softener
Please also refrain from using fabric softener on your down duvets and pillows. This attacks the filling and shortens the lifespan of your feather and down bedding.
How to dry your feather and down duvets and pillows
Highest drying temperature
For drying, select the highest drying temperature on your dryer. The down and feathers should be dried in at least three cycles of 30 minutes each. Allow the items to cool down well for about an hour between each cycle, shaking them several times.
Avoid residual moisture
Then check the bedding for possible residual moisture and dry if necessary. Avoid residual moisture at all costs. Down duvets and pillows are sensitive natural products that can be damaged by moisture.
The right drum size
We recommend a 10 kg dryer for bedding with a filling of more than 850 grams. You can also take our products to any wash saloon and have them washed and dried according to the care instructions.
Use dryer balls
We recommend adding our Centa-Star washing and drying balls to the dryer. This dries the down and feathers more evenly and restores their original volume.

In good hands – the right storage
Please store your down duvet or pillow in a dry place. You can of course use the air-permeable packaging we provide (except polybags and bags). It allows good ventilation. It can also be stored in a bed box without packaging. For natural protection against moths, use lavender sachets, for example. With the right care, you can significantly extend the life expectancy of your bedding.
A little tip: The down duvet must not be vacuumed. This can cause the cover to lose its down tightness and small feathers can be pulled through, which can lead to a loss of volume.
How to care for your special and neck support pillows
Cores not washable
The cores of the pillow bar and neck support pillows are not washable. If necessary, you can remove the tricot fabric and wipe the core with a damp cloth. Please allow to dry thoroughly afterwards.
All covers washable
All covers of our special and neck support pillows and mattress toppers are washable – many are also suitable for tumble drying. However, please be sure to follow the washing instructions.
