The duvets from the Royal collection are absolute lightweight champions: The filling consists of the high-tech fibre PrimaLoft® BIO™. PrimaLoft® BIO™ is used in products for extreme sports by leading brand manufacturers. Exclusively for Centa-Star, it has been eveloped into a fine, soft fibre that is up to 70% lighter than conventional fibre materials. This fibre is biodegradable and decomposes almost completely in less than two years. In comparison, regular polyester can take over 1,000 years to break down. It provides a pleasantly dry sleeping climate. PrimaLoft® BIO™ is used for the Royal collection in a cover fabric made of super-fine Mako-Sateen.

We are taking the next step in fibre fillings for our bedding with the biodegradable* fibre PrimaLoft Bio. This new fibre innovation finally gives us the chance to make our bedding more sustainable. In accelerated standard test procedures, PrimaLoft Bio has been shown to decompose almost completely into naturally occurring materials in less than two years. By comparison, ordinary polyester can take over 1,000 years to degrade.

The product has undergone comprehensive testing by the Hohenstein Institute and had its quality independently confirmed in all five categories. The result: Centa-Star impresses with the highest quality in the areas of "skin friendliness", "medically tested", "breathability", "dimensional stability" and "suitability for care".
The OEKO-TEX® testing criteria are revised every year and go far beyond current laws and regulations. The “Standard 100” seal shows consumers that the textile product is harmless to health. Class 1 is the most demanding product class for textiles that come into intensive contact with the skin of babies and small children and is only awarded if particularly strict limits are not exceeded.

OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN is a traceable product label for all types of textiles and leather articles that have been produced in environmentally friendly factories and socially responsible workplaces. The MADE IN GREEN label also gives consumers the certainty that the textile or leather product is made from materials that have been tested for harmful substances. Every product labelled with a MADE IN GREEN label has its own unique product ID or QR code. This allows the production of the item to be traced transparently.
