Bed types and filling materials

Are you confused between high-tech, feather-down and natural hair? Don't worry, we won't let you down and explain exactly what's in our duvets here. In addition to different filling materials, you will find different warmth classes for every type of sleeper in our comprehensive range. Because one thing is clear: your duvet has to suit you!

Different bedding types for fibre duvets

Summer duvet

Ultra-light duvet

Extremely light summer duvet, ideal for very low heat requirements. In the ultra-light duvet, a very thin layer of filling material is enclosed in the cover and quilted lengthwise.

Summer duvet

Light duvet

In a lightweight duvet, a thin layer of the respective filling material is enclosed by the cover and quilted lengthwise. This makes the lightweight comforter a typical summer duvet.

All-season duvet

Duo light duvet

In the duo-light duvet, two thin layers of filling material are enclosed and quilted by the cover. Due to the increased insulating air inclusion between the layers, these duvets have good thermal insulation.

All-season duvet

Solo duvet

Lightweight year-round duvet, perfect for medium heat requirements. In the Solo duvet , one layer of the filling material is enclosed by the cover and quilted lengthwise.

Winter duvet

Duo duvet

In contrast to the Duo-Light duvet, the two layers of filling material enclosed and quilted by the cover are slightly thicker in the Duo duvet, making it an ideal winter duvet.

Four-season duvet

Combi duvet

A Combi duvet consists of two separate duvets: a lightweight duveet and a duo-lightweight duvet. Both can be used individually or buttoned together. The ideal year-round bed.

Different bed types for down duvets

8 x 10 down duvet

Super-light sleeping pleasure for a low heat requirement. The 8 x 10 squares ensure that the filling remains evenly distributed and the heat can escape easily at the seams. Simply the ideal duvet for the warmest nights of the year.

6 x 8 down duvet

Light, airy and particularly snug: this duvet has many chambers and a low filling weight. Ideal for all sleepers who don't want to be too warm at night. It won't make you sweat, even on warm summer nights.

5 x 7 down duvet

Not too warm and not too cold, but just right: this medium-warm down duvet is the ideal transitional duvet for spring and fall. It is also perfect for all sleepers with medium warmth requirements.

4 x 6 cassette duvet

2 cm inner web

The fewer chambers a duvet contains, the more these chambers are filled with down. And the fluffier and warmer the duvet is. The inner web prevents cold bridges and makes the duvet the ideal winter duvet.

4 x 6 cassette duvet

4 cm inner and outer web

The 4 cm wide inner and outer web provides exceptionally good thermal insulation. Our warmest duvet for anyone who gets cold quickly or sleeps with the window open and therefore likes it particularly warm and cozy.

Important note

Please note:
For all feather and down collections, the number of cassettes increases from a size of 200 x 200 cm.

Feathers & down

Feathers

Their properties make contour feathers the ideal filling material for pillows: they are firm and elastic, so that a pillow with a high feather content provides particularly good support. Feathers are also particularly hygroscopic: they can absorb a lot of moisture and still appear completely dry.

Down

Very soft, delicate, light and elastic – all these properties make down the ideal filling material for duvets. The down protects the birds from the cold, especially in the chest area. Its three-dimensional structure is particularly advantageous: down can trap even more air and provide better warmth than feathers.

Our natural hair duvets

Natural hair duvets

Duvets with a filling made of natural hair such as virgin sheep's wool or camel hair are quilted lengthwise like fibre duvets. This allows the filling, which consists of a soft fleece, to adapt even better to the contours of the body. The lengthwise quilting ends a few centimeters before the edge of the duvet so that there are no cold bridges.

Virgin sheep wool

Sheep can withstand sub-zero temperatures just as well as summer heat above 30 degrees. Their wool is full of cavities and the curled hairs form millions of small air pockets. Both act as natural insulation. Wool can absorb up to 36% of its dry weight in vapor form without feeling damp. Even then, wool is optimally breathable.
